Kesha Says She’s Permanently Changing Diddy Lyric in ‘Tik Tok’
American singer Kesha is never going back after changing a key lyric in “TikTok” at Coachella after altering the song during Reneé Rapp’s festival show in April 2024 to include the line “f— P. Diddy” shortly after accusations of sexual misconduct against the rapper and mogul Diddy, Kesha revealed on Thursday that she’s only planning to sing the updated version of her 2009 smash going forward
When she was asked by TMZ at the Los Angeles International Airport on whether she would be permanently implementing the “F— P. Diddy” lyric as opposed to the track’s original phrase,
“Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy” the singer immediately said yes.
“Yes, it will be [permanent],” she replied. “
The fans should learn it for my upcoming [shows]. I want to hear it louder than ever. I stand by that.
Kesha is currently gearing up to headline WeHo Pride in Los Angeles, a show that will also feature Adam Lambert, Monét X Change, Laganja Estranja, Morphine Love Dion, Niña Dioz, Jessica Betts, Owenn and Venessa Michaels on the lineup. Her latest album, 2023’s Gag Order, which peaked at No. 14 on the Top Alternative Albums chart.
